trainers terms

   By delivering sessions as a trainer at Genius Personal Training, you are accepting these terms & conditions. 
   You agree to abide by the terms and conditions set out by Genius Personal Training in the following agreement, including any additional policies and rules specified.
   If you breach any of these terms, we reserve the right to cancel your trainer job position and restrict access to any Genius Personal Training premises.

    ➊ GYM INSTALLATIONS

    ​◽ Doors & security grill
    Oppening
       Open the front and back gym entrances (doors and security grills) and leave them unlocked during your working time. All entrances must be open if for a matter of safety we need to evacuate the building.
       Always leave the security grill closed, this will stop unknown people to enter the gym randomly.
       Use the magnet in the grill's lock to stop the grill to get locked when someone close it.
    Closing
       Make sure the 2 grills and the 2 doors are fully locked.
       Take out the magnets of the grill so they can lock properly.
       The doors must be locked with the blue key from outside.
       Turn off the fans and music.
       
    The gym must never be left open when there is no one inside.


    ◽ Fire sprinkler stop valve (back door)
       If there is fire in the building, the firemen have to get their water sources from the back door of the gym. This means by law this door must always stay clear. If we get a security supervision and this one is blocked then we are risking high fines.

    ​◽ Keys
       You will be given 2 keys, one for the doors and one for the security grills (They open the front and back entrances)
       You will not be asked for a deposit, but if you lose any of the keys, a charge of $50 per key will be deducted from your next payment.
       It is mandatory to always have your keys when working at the gym.
       You are not allowed to pass the keys to anyone else.

       Keys must be returned at any time that your head trainer require.


    ◽ Fans
       Use the fans during your sessions and don't forget to turn them off when you leave.

    ◽ Music
       Music is played from Apple Music: Genius Personal Training playlist in the computer desk
       Make sure the computer is connected to the Bose sound bar through Bluetooth system.


    ◽ iPads
        Use the iPad when delivering your sessions and please hand it with care as they are very delicate.
        The iPads are only allowed to stand in the tables,  never leave them in the floor or in the seats.
        When you finish your sessions, bring the iPad back to the desk and leave it on charge.
        Be very careful when using the iPads in the training floor. 


    ◽Uniform
       You will be provided with official clothes that are mandatory use during work time.
    ​    If your uniform is incomplete, take clothes from the shared closet and return them before going home.
        It is permitted to use personal shorts with these rules:
        - Brand not visible (sports brand or other gyms)
        - Plain colours/design
        - Blue, yellow, black, grey and white are our branding colours.

        Return uniform in good conditions when terminate work permanently.

    ◽ Cameras
       To ensure the safety of our members and trainers inside of Genius Personal Training gym, there are visible cameras recording 24 hours.

    ◽ Gym equipment (Care for gym equipment and facilities)
       Do not drop the weights as this can damage equipment and increase the risk of injury to yourself and others:
    • CABLES: Never let the cable weights drop, In the last repetition, make sure to lower the weights slowly and smoothly.
    • SMITH MACHINE: Make sure the barbell is well unhooked during the motion. And do not hit the barbell when you hook it in back to the rack.
    • DUMBB ELLS , BARBELLS & KETTLEBELLS: If you drop the free weights they can easily bounce and hurt yourself or others. You must always leave them directly on the floor.
    • SKI & ROW MACHINE: Do not release the handles and make sure to use your hands to put them back to their original spot.
    • TOWER: Our multifunctional tower doesn't have a weight release designed at all (In both systems: cables and plate loaded machine), so it is very important to release the weights smoothly when finish your set.

    ❷ SESSION TIMES
       The training sessions with your client goes for 45 minutes, however the entire working hour goes for 60 minutes.

    ◽ Check-in (5 minutes before)
       Use the iPad to check-in every time that you arrive to the gym for a new session.   
       Arrivals must be
     5 minutes before training start time to
    : open/set up the gym, prepare yourself for the session, review the program, make sure everything is tidy and clean and be present for your clients arrival.
    ​
    ◽ Cleaning & tide up (5 minutes after session)
       It is responsibility of all trainers present at the studio, to make sure that the studio looks clean and tidy for our clients.   
       During your sessions make sure to clean and bring the equipment back to its storage immediately after use.
       When you finish your session please take 5 minutes to wipe down and disinfect the gym equipment. If the entrance floor or outdoor area of the gym is dusty, use this time to vacuum the floor.


    ◽ Clients entertaining and connection (5 minutes after cleaning)
       Once everything is clean, and your client hasn't leave yet, stay with them. This is your best opportunity to connect in a personal level and build a long term relationship with them.

    ❸ PLANNING

    ◽ Bookings
       Genius Personal Training is a mixed system where you will get get to train all our clients. We require our clients to lock the session times in an ongoing base, so we will be able to provide permanent training slots. However we also offer the flexibility of changing their time and this will be an opportunity for you to take extra hours training other clients.
       Keep your head trainer updated with your availabilities/holidays so it will be easier to allocate more hours.
       Our session's calendar will be installed on your phone. Check the calendar every day several time so you know you sessions times. Sometimes the calendar on your phone need to be updated, if a red error symbol appear, please bring your phone to your head trainer straight away.
       When you finish every session, always confirm the next session time with your client and adjust if needed.


    ◽ Clients cancellations/not show
        If a client cancel a session within 6 hours the start time or doesn't show up to a session, you will get paid $20 for making your self available for that time.

    ◽ Trainer not show
        If you not show to your session without notice for 3 times, we will no longer work with you.

    ◽ Payments
        You will get paid by direct transfer every second Thursday. The sessions completed for a fortnight period will paid in the Thursday of the week after.

    ◽ Performance review
       Every 6 weeks you will have a 1-on-1 meeting with your head trainer to review your performance in the following aspects:

    TRAINING
    Total sessions

    Sign ups
    Retention
    Level of intensity
    Exercise technique
    Exercise variety

    OPERATIONS
    Punctuality (Check-in)
    Openning/Closing
    Cleaning
    IT (Music, iPads, Fans, Aircon)

    VALUES
    Family
    Smart intellect
    Entertainment

    CONDUCT
    Care of equipment
    Behaviour


    ​◽ Company changes
       Group Sydney Gym is a company that grows fast everyday. Changes to our training, operational systems, clients and trainers terms is changing at every quarter. It is expected from our trainers to be open and adapt fast to this changes with a good attitude. Every time that changes happen, you will be booked for a meeting with your head trainer to introduce you to it.

    ◽ Terminate your work
       When you are ready to stop working with us, please let us know at least two weeks in advance, so we can reallocate all your sessions to another trainer.

    ❹ CONDUCT OF BEHAVIOUR
    About the facilities & gym equipment:
    • Leave all belonging in designated areas.
    • Educate clients to not drop the weights in any of our gym equipment systems (As well as free weights, this include the smith machine, cable station, the tower and any of our equipment that contain weights) this can damage equipment and risk injury of yourself and others.
    • Share and care for gym equipment and facilities.
    • Clean and return equipment to their correct storage after use.
    We do not accept or tolerate:
    • Verbal or physical abuse or harassment of members or staff.
    • Any form of sexual harassment of members or staff.
    • Any wilful damage of property or facilities.
    • Failure to take direction of staff members.
    • Access our facilities under the influence of alcohol or illicit drugs.
    We do expect you to:
    • Phones are strictly not allowed during sessions and in the presence of clients.
    • Once your clients enter the studio, focus 100% on them and give them an entertaining experience until they leave.
    • Wear full uniform during your sessions.
    • Provide respect and equal treatment to all clients and staff.
    • Foster a positive and inclusive environment free from discrimination.
    • Report any problems or issues as soon as they arise.
    • Be fresh and with an enthusiastic attitude for your sessions. If you are planning to go out to a party and you have sessions in the morning after, we suggest that you get your sessions covered by another trainer before coming to work with a hangover.
